What is ozone?
Ozone (O3) is a special form of Oxygen, composed of three oxygen atoms instead of two.
Ozone is produced by electrical discharges (known as Corona) which break certain Oxygen molecules (O₂) into free O atoms. These recombine with other Oxygen molecules (O₂) to form Ozone (O3).
Ozone's properties are excellent for cleaning:
- Power: ~1.5x more powerful than a standard detergent (oxidation power 2.07V)
- Speed: works up to 5x faster against microbes than a standard detergent.
- Disinfection: naturally disinfects without the need for bleach (neutralizes odors).
- Eco-friendly: no chemical residues as ozone naturally transforms into oxygen after 10-15 minutes.

Ozone action spectrum
- Bacteria & mold: Ozone oxidizes the cell wall, causing rupture and death of bacteria and mold.
- Virus: Ozone destroys the protein envelopes of DNA, rendering the virus inactive.
- Fats: Ozone partially oxidizes fine and fresh fats. For larger stains, apply detergent locally.
